Regardless of the season that you're in, and whether your babies are big, small or furry, this time in your life deserves to be captured by something other than your iPhone. Family sessions were born from past wedding couples asking us to document their growing families and now we just can't get enough!
We love creating photos to remind families that in spite of the fact that the carpet on their floor is covered in cereal, their laundry room looks like an episode of hoarders and mom and dad are in a permanent state of exhaustion, their love and their story are beautiful.

Everything you need to know about family portrait sessions
We’re big believers that images aren’t meant to solely exist in a digital space. One day, most likely, Instagram will be gone, your phone will be replaced and images that you can physically hold in your hand will be the best way to remember those precious moments we captured.
Think about this fact: fifteen years ago, if we had delivered you digital images, they would have been on a floppy disk. With the fast updates to technology, you would have no way to access those images today. Even the online galleries we deliver will eventually fade away.
But prints? Those last. I bet your family still has images from your grandparents (maybe even great grandparents.) And that was likely from a time period when cameras were expensive and prints were harder to come by.

DESIGN consultation

Once you've booked your date, we’ll schedule your design consultation. This is where we’ll chat about your vision, outfits, location, as well which products you might be interested in.
Whenever we can, we love to plan this ahead of time to ensure we have the best photos for your products.
THE SESSION

Sessions typically last about an hour and a half and when when we can—we love to begin sessions about two hours before sunset. We prefer to shoot when the sun is lower in the sky to avoid harsh shadows and bright sun patches. The first two hours after sunrise is also an ideal time to shoot.

After your session, we’ll sit down together to look at your images. We’ll help you finalize your favorites, as well as design your wall art and heirlooms.

QUESTIONS
What does a portrait session cost?
Hour-long sessions for a family of five or smaller start at $375 and include full access to your gallery. Every session is a little different, so once I know your vision and what products you have in mind, I’ll walk you through the options that fit.
How long is a session, and what should we expect?
Most sessions run about an hour and a half. My job is to keep it relaxed — I’ll guide you when you need direction and step back when the real moments start happening on their own. You don’t need to know how to pose. You just need to show up.
When's the best time of day to shoot?
I love the two hours before sunset, and the first two hours after sunrise are just as beautiful. Lower light means soft, flattering images without harsh shadows or squinting kids. If your schedule needs something different, we’ll make it work.
What should we wear?
We’ll talk through this together at your design consultation. As a rule, coordinate without matching exactly, lean into soft and timeless over loud and trendy, and dress for the location. I’ll send guidance so nobody’s stressing about it the night before.
Where do sessions take place? Do you travel?
Anywhere meaningful to you — your home, a Savannah landmark, the coast, a spot that’s part of your story. I’m based in Savannah and serve the Lowcountry and beyond.
How far in advance should we book?
The sooner the better, especially around the holidays and fall, when family sessions fill up fast. If you have a date in mind, reach out and let’s hold it.
